Queensland Camp Gallipoli cocktail event to host Australian cricket legends Greg Chappell and Belinda Clark

Former Australian Cricket Captains and sporting legends in their own rights, Greg Chappell MBE and Belinda Clark AM, are throwing their support behind keeping the Anzac Spirit alive, appearing as special guests at a cocktail evening in Brisbane in support of 2016 Camp Gallipoli on Wednesday 6 April.

Chappell and Clark will lead a panel discussion on all things cricket at the Rooftop Terrace of Achitectus in Brisbane city with all proceeds from the event going directly to Camp Gallipoli, a commemorative event held in capital cities across the country on 24-25 April which sees thousands of attendees camp out to pay tribute to the fallen.

Tickets to the fundraiser event this Wednesday are available for $55 by emailing michaeljohnson@campgallioli.com.au

The Brisbane Camp Gallipoli event will be held on 24-25 April at the RNA Showgrounds, while simultaneous events are in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth.

The education-based not-for-profit project was started three years ago by Adelaide’s Chris Fox. With a personal connection to WW1, Mr Fox developed Camp Gallipoli to commemorate Anzac Day, while paying tribute to other WW1 battles significant to Australia’s and New Zealand’s history.

Camp Gallipoli thanks the Sofitel Hotel Brisbane and Virgin Australia for sponsoring the event.
