Marquis Macadamias was launched as the world’s largest macadamia processor and marketer on 12 February 2020. Now established, the organisation grows, processes and sells 48 percent of Australia’s macadamia production and is responsible for 22 percent of global kernel sales, while handling more than 16 percent of nut in shell production worldwide.
The entity was formed following the consolidation of Lismore’s Macadamia Processing Company (MPC), it’s wholly owned subsidiary Bundaberg’s Pacific Gold Macadamias (PGM), and their marketing company Brisbane’s Macadamia Marketing International (MMI), which is jointly owned by South Africa’s Global Macadamias.
Elevate was engaged to support the brand launch through strategic event management and media relations.
Elevate created a media release highlighting the consolidation, rebrand and relaunch of the four companies under Marquis Macadamias, the new brand’s position within the national and international nut industry and the benefits of macadamias to Australia’s economy and health market. Elevate leveraged its relationships with media in the business, agricultural and health and wellness space, and high-profile journalists writing for major news organisations. The story was embargoed until 13 February to protect the confidential nature of the new brand until it had been officially launched in Brisbane to a number of the organisation’s key stakeholders.
To officially launch the new brand, Elevate oversaw all management of Marquis Macadamias’ launch event in Brisbane’s Howard Smith Wharves. This included:
