HASSALLS TO HOST PENRITH LAKES ON-SITE AUCTION

HASSALLS TO HOST PENRITH LAKES ON-SITE AUCTION

Local and interstate buyers are expected to pick up a range of ex-civil and earthmoving equipment from Hassalls’ on-site auction at Penrith Lakes this Tuesday 28 March.

Held just one hour west of Central Sydney, the monumental sale will see more than 100 lots of second-hand equipment go under the hammer, with items ranging from heavy earthmoving equipment, including Caterpillar Dump Trucks and Bulldozers, to Toyota Hilux’s and civil support equipment.

Hassalls Director Financial Services and Insolvency, Leo Doromal, is expecting a solid turnout ranging from civil and earthmoving contractors, agricultural farmers and civil quarry operators, looking to take advantage of the opportunity to buy the equipment made available.

“We’re expecting another solid auction after our Drayton clearance two weeks ago, which saw more than $8 million dollars’ worth of ex-mine site equipment sell at a clearance rate of 95 per cent,” Mr Doromal said.

“This sale is a rare opportunity for local farmers, businesses and tradespeople to pick up equipment fit for use at a fraction of the cost of new equipment.

“Whether you’re after heavy earthmoving equipment, or a well-loved Hilux, trailer or toolbox, we’ve got something for everyone come Tuesday.”

The auction also features a variety of Caterpillar, Hitachi, Terex and Volvo heavy earthmoving equipment, which is in high demand on the back of construction and infrastructure projects nationwide.

“We’re selling a range of Caterpillar units, including 777 and 773 Rear Dump Trucks, 16-Series and 140-Series Graders, D6 and D8 Track Type Dozers, 740 Articulated Dump Trucks and 773 Water Carts,” Mr Doromal said.

“We’re expecting the mid-large ticket lots to sell to mid-sized earthmoving contractors looking to bid on the slew of civil infrastructure project work currently taking place, or to local farmers who can re-purpose the gear to work their fields.

“With positive sentiment spreading across the civil and infrastructure sectors, it’s a great time to beef up civil and earthmoving fleets with operational second-hand equipment to make the most of the existing market.”
