While it is the Animal Welfare League’s role to find new homes for down and out cats and dogs, the Gold Coast charity is now providing shelter for ex-rental products.
Mr Rental Gold Coast has donated a number of white goods, small appliances, furniture, IT and entertainment systems in a show of support for the Animal Welfare League Queensland (AWLQ).
Summer White, Mr Rental Gold Coast branch manager, said the donation of ex-rental products to the local charity made perfect sense.
As well as donating around $5000 of products to the Coombabah shelter, Ms White has also become a foster parent by temporarily caring for a number of cats and dogs until suitable permanent homes can be found.
“This is a charity that relies on the community for support to ensure it can take care of around 10,000 strayed and abandoned animals each year, including cats, dogs, birds and farm animals,” Ms White said.
“It’s only right for a local business to give back to the community where and when it can.”
A franchise group servicing all regions of Australia and New Zealand, Mr Rental offers a wide range of technology, furniture, white goods and fitness equipment for home, lifestyle or business.
